Licensed Professional Counselor
Vicki Harris Wyatt, Ph.D., is the executive director and owner of The Wyatt Group, as well as its chief therapist. Dr. Wyatt is licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). She also has certifications as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist (CMAT), and Certified Hope & Freedom Practitioner (CHFP) for intensive recovery therapy for marriages/relationships. Dr. Wyatt is a member of EMDRIA for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Today she maintains a private practice in counseling and therapy in the private sector in Oklahoma City, where she focuses on sexual addictions (compulsive sex, internet porn, sexual betrayal, etc.), family relations, ADD/ADHD treatment, “peak performance,” and counseling in general. The Wyatt Group offers a safe and secure environment conducive to recovery and healing in a confidential and non-judgmental setting.
Historically, Dr. Wyatt has provided counseling and talk-therapy in not-for-profit organizations, taught at regional and comprehensive universities in Oklahoma, has written and administered grants and served as an assistant professor of research at the University of Oklahoma, College of Public Health, where she was also a lead investigator on the HEART of OKC Teen Pregnancy Project and co-principal investigator for the High Risk HPV project, both funded through the Centers for Disease Control (“CDC”). Dr. Wyatt has also written and administered several grants through the United Way and Youth & Family Services. In 2002, Vicki Harris Wyatt was selected by the Journal Record News as one of fifty “Women Making a Difference” in the State of Oklahoma. Dr. Wyatt presents at national and local conferences and conventions such as the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) and the American Public Health Association (APHA). She has authored or co-authored a variety of articles and book chapters published in various media
